The holidays are full of stories — from family memories to favorite picture books. Reading Thanksgiving stories together builds listening skills, sequencing, and comprehension in fun, cozy ways.
Gather your child close and read a short Thanksgiving-themed story. Afterward, ask simple questions:

Print or draw three boxes labeled First, Next, and Last.
After reading, have your child draw a picture in each box to show what happened in order. Laminate it or slip it into a plastic sleeve for a reusable placemat!
