📚 Kindergarten Quick Tip (Fine Motor Skills):
Fine motor skills are the small muscle movements in your child’s hands and fingers. Strengthening these muscles now makes writing, cutting, and self-care tasks (like buttoning) much easier later. The best way to build them? Through playful activities that use their hands in different ways.
🖐️ Try This at Home:
🎨 Playdough Pinch & Roll — Give your child a small ball of playdough. Have them pinch off tiny pieces to make “sprinkles” or roll long “snakes.” This simple activity strengthens finger muscles for holding a pencil.
Other quick options: tearing paper into pieces, stringing beads, or squeezing clothespins.
💬 Encouraging Reminder:
Every squeeze, pinch, and roll is preparing your child for writing success. Don’t worry about neatness—focus on effort and fun!
