🌟 Welcome to Ready for Kinder! 🌟
Dear Parents,
This week’s focus is on teaching numbers 1–10—a key skill for kindergarten readiness. The best part? Children learn numbers most effectively when it feels like play. Everyday games and hands-on activities help kids connect numbers to real life.
📚 Kindergarten Quick Tip (Numbers 1–10):
Keep it playful! Count aloud while climbing stairs, passing out snack pieces, or setting the table. Everyday counting practice helps your child see numbers as part of daily life, not just “school work.”
🖐️ Try This at Home:
🎲 Roll & Build Towers — Grab a die and some blocks (or plastic cups). Have your child roll the die, then stack that many blocks to build a tower. Take turns to see who builds the tallest tower. This game practices counting, one-to-one correspondence, and number recognition—all while having fun.
💬 Encouraging Reminder:
Repetition is powerful. Even five minutes of playful counting each day adds up to strong number skills over time.
