Welcome to this week’s Ready for Kinder — so glad you’re here! Each week I’ll send one short, practical tip you can use right away to build kindergarten-ready skills.
📚 Kindergarten Quick Tip (Early Math):
Math starts with play! Spend 5 minutes a day doing number talk — count objects out loud, compare groups (“Who has more?”), and point out simple patterns (red, blue, red, blue). These little moments build counting, comparing, and pattern recognition.
🖐️ Try This at Home:
Snack Count & Compare — at snack time, give your child two small bowls with different numbers of crackers. Ask them to count each bowl, tell you which has more, and move one cracker from one bowl to the other so they can see “more” and “less” change. Quick, concrete, and fun.
💬 Encouraging Reminder:
Math confidence grows from curiosity — not perfection. Celebrate guessing, counting, and even mistakes!
