Kindergarten Quick Tip
One of the easiest ways to build readiness skills on vacation is to involve your child in simple daily tasks. Let them help carry a small backpack, count items while packing, identify letters on signs, or help order their food at a restaurant. These small moments build independence, listening skills, vocabulary, and confidence—all important for kindergarten success.
Try This at Home
Play a simple “Vacation Learning Hunt” during your next outing or errand. Ask your child to find:
- A letter they recognize
- Something blue
- Three circles
- A number on a sign
- Something smaller than their hand
This easy game builds observation, language, and early math skills without feeling like school.
Encouraging Reminder
You do not need elaborate lessons or expensive activities to prepare your child for kindergarten—everyday experiences really do count.
